Making a difference

Over the years, our team leaders have led/participated in key initiatives serving the homeless community and families in transition in the Charlotte NC area, including: 

• Housing assistance case management for women/families in transition in partnership with Crisis Assistance Ministries.
• Parenting and budgeting classes and counseling for women in the Hall House Transitional Housing Program in partnership with area agencies.
• Serving on the Affordable Housing Cabinet created by the late developer John Crosland, a passionate advocate for mobilizing partnerships and resources to build affordable housing. 

 
We believe that homeownership is "the sturdiest of footholds for economic mobility" and that the need for affordable housing and comprehensive counseling for aspiring homeowners continues to be critical. Our counselling teams led by Certified Master Mortgage Underwriters and Processors and working in partnership with organizations such as The Harvest Center of Charlotte are well equipped to help aspiring homeowners to understand all aspects of the mortgage process. 

The provision of shelter is also a critical part of our global War on Poverty strategy which also includes healthcare, energy and civic and academic education initiatives.
